The Folk Arts Cultural Treasures charter school's new location at 1023 Callowhill Street was formerly a factory. The building was converted to a school for grades one through six, and includes a multi-purpose room, cafeteria, and outdoor play area. Just before the school’s scheduled opening in the fall of 2006, a certificate of occupancy was not obtained.

FACTS turned to Athenian Properties to help solve this urgent problem. Checking the existing conditions against code requirements, Athenian provided a brief survey of the building and made modification recommendations in order to facilitate compliance with current codes.

The school made the modifications suggested and obtained its certificate of occupancy in time to open on schedule.
