Philosophy
Athenian believes in investing in the development of vibrant cities. To achieve this, it undertakes one development project at a time for non-profits at favorable rates. It also donates 10% of net profits to urban education and arts oriented non-profits, and supports staff members participating in educational and non-profit groups of their choosing.
Habitat For Humanity Work Day 2009
Athenian Properties employees staffed a full work day rehabilitating a Philadelphia rowhome with Habitat for Humanity. The home, on Gratz Street in North Philadelphia, is being rehabilitated with funds from the Philadelphia Chapter of CREW, and with sweat equity from the family who will eventually live there.
