Philosophy
Athenian believes in investing in the development of vibrant cities. To achieve this, it undertakes one development project at a time for non-profits at favorable rates. It also donates 10% of net profits to urban education and arts oriented non-profits, and supports staff members participating in educational and non-profit groups of their choosing.
2009 Athenian Donation Recipients
In 2009, recipients again included schools from the School District of Philadelphia: Barrat, Childs, McDaniel and the Young Scholars Charter School. Other recipients of 2009 donations included the Philadelphia Education Fund, and the EPRA Early Childhood Education and Nutrition Fund. Athenian donates 10% of its net profit each year to non-profit organizations that work in ways that further Athenian's mission: growing great cities.
