Philosophy
Athenian believes in investing in the development of vibrant cities. To achieve this, it undertakes one development project at a time for non-profits at favorable rates. It also donates 10% of net profits to urban education and arts oriented non-profits, and supports staff members participating in educational and non-profit groups of their choosing.
2008 Athenian Donation Recipients
In 2008, recipients again included schools from the School District of Philadelphia: Barrat, Childs, McDaniel and the Science Leadership Academy. Other recipients of 2008 donations included the Philadelphia Folklore Project, the Children First Fund, The CREW Foundation, Endow-A-Home, and Friends of Lemon Hill. Athenian donates 10% of its net profit each year to non-profit organizations that work in ways that further Athenian's mission: growing great cities.
